How do you descale an espresso machine?

I have a simple pump Krups espresso machine. I know he needs a descaler, and I found a little cleaning solutions amazon.com, but what do I do once I get it? I plan to purchase it: Durgol 0296 Express Descaler versatile as she is working well? If not, let me know what it is. Thank you!

There are many products on the market, the Durgol work properly. I use some that come in the form of pills instead of liquid. What you need to do is to the liquid in the tank of water (diluted according to instructions), leave the machine to warm up, run it like your pulling a shot with a bowl to collect the liquid. Run it for about half the supply reservoirs, then switch to the steam nozzle into the water, not steam mode. When the machine runs out of liquid, fill with water and run again. Fill the tank a third time and rinse one last time to ensure that you get all clear and your done. I'm not familiar with the Krups specifically (I use a Rancilio Silvia). If the water tank is removable, remove and rinse after Durgol is used to rinse clearer. If you do this, you probably will not need to make the third rinse. Proper maintenance will make your espresso machine is more consistent and help them last longer, the cleaning is a good idea. Durgol and similar products to clean without leaving behind a terrible taste.
